Our Convenient New Store AND More Giveaways!

Well, it's here! Our store link is now conveniently in our sidebar. Click on items of interest in the mini-store, or on our store home page link to find our current offerings. A Note From the Designer

A Note from the Designer: I specialize in unique designs. I love the creative process of my accessory making and have no desire to mass produce cookie cutter styles. I typically make only a few of the same item, and they are rarely identical. While some basic colors and designs may be popular and requested often enough to make multiples, the majority of my designs are freshly created in batches and when they are gone they are gone! So if you love it, request it right away - I may not be able to get the same supplies to duplicate the exact item. Also, don’t forget to check back regularly for new designs. Warning: Decking out your cutie in coordinating hairwear is addictive!

About Our Products

Our hair accessories are unique, high quality, and extremely versatile!

Flowers: Each flower is attached to a ribbon or fabric-lined clip, which can be interchanged between different beanies, headbands, clipped onto your own hats, apparel, or purses and totes, and even worn alone in hair or in ponies and other hairstyles! The possibilities are endless! We use both snap clips and pinch clips, depending on the style of the flower, and how it lays. Snap clips have the advantage of laying flat against the head and are lighter weight. Pinch clips have more versatility in being able to attach to different types of items more easily. We recommend experimenting with the angle you attach pinch clips to the hats for the best look possible. Both types of clips will work well for hair and most hat/flower styles. Snap clips are slightly preferred for headband use, though both will work great. If you have a preference of clip, please specify and we will accommodate you if possible. We heat seal our ribbon to prevent fraying, and use high quality clips and flowers.

Headbands: We use several different styles of headbands in our designs. Crochet-like, stretchy headbands in 1.5 and 2.5 inch widths come in a variety of colors and types. Our ribbon headbands include a stretchy elastic section at the base of the neck for a comfy fit. Various other styles of headbands may be used in our headband designs. They are one size fits all unless otherwise noted. We attach a ribbon loop to most of our headbands for slipping the flower clips into. Sometimes they are not necessary, or will lay better without. If you have a preference regarding a ribbon loop, please specify.

Beanies: We use adorable crocheted beanie hats which come in a variety of colors and are soft and stretchy enough to fit most everyone! See our “Topping Types and Sizing” post for more details on sizing. They can be worn a number of different ways and are super cute! Please note that exact color shades and fit may vary somewhat with each individual hat.

Made to Match Designs

I love to customize my hats and headbands to my daughters' outfits! I'm a big fan of Gymboree clothing, so many of my designs are made to match their lines. If you'd like to match a line not pictured, I would be happy to do so! Chances are, I'll have easy matching access in their closets!

Our Topping Models

Thanks for stopping by our new Posh Toppings blogspot! I have always been a fan of head decor! Having two "follicle-ly challenged" young daughters, we rarely leave the house with "naked heads," as we call them. I've always loved hats and headbands, but struggled to find the accessories that would set off their precious outfits and give them that special finishing touch. Gradually, I began making them myself, and have been so pleased with the results! My girls cause a commotion, everywhere we go, and I have had so many comments and inquiries about their hats and hair accessories. After much encouragement from friends and family, I finally decided (with the help of my sister) to start Posh Toppings! You will find lots of photos of my little models - my inspirations! They are the true masterpieces that I just love to embellish a little.

Topping Types and Sizing

Bebe Toppings – Infant size crochet beanies, soft and stretchy headbands, and mostly more petite flowers and adornments. These are SOO precious on little tiny baby heads. There’s just something about highlighting their delicateness with just the right hat or halo. These small beanies fit 0-6 months, sometimes larger, depending on head size. They are soft and stretchy. If your 6 month old has a larger-than-average head size, you will probably want to go with the Toddler size and roll the edge for an adorable look!

Toddler Toppings - Who can resist that adorable little Toddler face? Set it off spectacularly with the perfect hat or hair accessory! From delicate little flower headbands to “WoW factor” giant blooms, you’ll want one for every outfit. Mix and match your beanies, headbands, and flowers for unique looks every time you have the pleasure of dressing your little cutie. They are only little for such a short time (I am very quickly realizing!), so spoil them and yourselves while you still can! Soft and stretchy beanies fit most ages 6mos-12yrs. Hat sizes vary. Babies and smaller toddlers will either wear these covering all of their head and forehead, or for a different look, can wear them farther back on their head and baggy in back. They are also adorable rolled at the opening, similar to a cloche. Finally, larger hats can have ribbon added (if they don’t already have it) for a wonderfully cute look and adjustable fit!

Big Girl Toppings – Little girls don’t outgrow their cuteness just because they’re learning to dress themselves and become “big girls.” In fact, they’re probably coming into their own sense of style and will LOVE adorable accessories in sizes that fit they’re blossoming little heads. Most hats in this age group (up to roughly 12 and often older!) will also fit the toddlers. However, they fit older girls tighter, like a fitted beanie. Headbands can be worn with pony tails or with hair down for a very chic look. Treat your little lady to mix and match heaven with our adorable hair accessories. They will love the styles they can create and the attention they get too!

Momma Toppings – Who says “little” girls just wanna have fun? Show your sassy side, by sporting our flowers, headbands and even some of our hats (more to come in the future)! These flowers are popping up in all the fashion magazines and catalogs, often for ridiculous prices. Get them here, and customize them to your needs or even match your little one! Flowers can be removed from hats or headbands and attached to dresses, tanks, purses, pony tails and more! The possibilities are endless.
